100 Poems and a Letter (Not) About Love

1.     EXT. WIDE, OPEN SPACE. DUSK.
Naglalaro sila ng “this or that”. Pipitikin kung magkaiba sila ng gusto.
CHOI
Half-filled or half-empty?
RED
Half-filled.
Pipitikin ni Choi si Red.
CHOI
Masyado ka namang optimistic.
RED
Mang-iiwan o iiwanan.
CHOI
Iiwanan.
RED
Loser.
CHOI
Kaysa makasakit ng tao di ba? Sunrise o sunset?
RED
Sunrise. With imaginary birds chirping at hamog.
Pipitikin niya si Red.
CHOI
I’m looking forward to sunset lagi. It’s hopeful.
RED
Nocturnal ka kasi. Mahal mo o mahal ka?
Babatukan ni Choi si Red.
CHOI
Putangena!
Tatayo si Choi, tatakbo palayo kay Red.
CHOI
Ang emo mo!
RED
Inunahan mo lang ako, gago.
CHOI
(offscreen) Uwi nako. Hinihintay na ako ng asawa ko.
Magmamadaling umalis si Choi. Sasakay siya ng bus or jeep. Mapapangiti. Kukuha ng bolpen at papel at magsisimulang magsulat.
